One of the few survivors of our planet’s relentless and often brutal evolutionary processes, the bison has survived the tests of time – time and time again. Revered by Native Americans as an important food source, the “Buffalo” was the symbol of true American heritage. At least until “civilization” penetrated the great American West. What followed was the senseless slaughter to near extinction of an animal that had endured and survived the harshest environmental conditions for centuries.

The founder of Euro Buffalo, Hannes Bohinc, has turned his original passion into an unprecedented commitment that has now lasted for almost a quarter of a century. Today, the Buffalo brand stands for an exemplary commitment to the successful breeding of genuine American bison. Our vision is to achieve a healthy repopulation in Central and Eastern Europe. To this end, we are focusing on developing the largest herd of American bison in these regions.
